	We’ll sit down with your staff to understand the processes and systems that support your operations and where your critical information is stored. Armed with a detailed understanding of your systems environment we’ll figure out what data needs to be migrated Salesforce.
	Exporting, making two backups and securing both copies of your valuable data in different locations is step one of our process. Only after your data is secure to we move on to migrating your data into Salesforce
	As we analyze your data the fist thing we do is check for duplicates and errors. Once we have clean data we focus on any changes or custom modifications required for your Salesforce implementation. Only after we have clean data and a solid plan do we actually move your data into Salesforce.
	Your Salesforce implementation may call for your data to be organized differently or into new relationships. This stage is where we figure that out and create the best method to move your data into Salesforce.
	Testing critical steps is always a good idea so that’s what we do with your data. We’ll take a handful or two of records and import them into Salesforce. From there we test Salesforce components like Price Books, Quotes and Reporting to verify the process and then move on to full-scale migration.
	If all goes well with testing in stage 5 we’re now ready to import your entire data set.
	With migration complete we rerun our testing and reporting to verify all your data was successfully moved.

 

Rumor has it that more than a few companies have tried migrating their data into Salesforce themselves by assigning one of their employees to manage the process.
